There are many reasons why Mike Mathews owner and president MTM Environmental was chosen as small business of the year. He has lived in Milford for many years and has consistently been a strong supporter of the community. For the past thirteen years Mike has owned and operated MTM Environmental on Locust Street in historic Milford. Mike has been heavily involved with the schools, whether it be as a basketball coach, baseball coach, or through his active involvement with Partners in Education and the Milford Jr. High students. For the past two years he has served as Head Women’s Basketball Coach for UC Clermont. Mike has also been actively involved with Milford United Methodist Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, (Youth Pastor), Church of the Savior United Methodist Church, (Mission Trips) and is now an active member of the Mason Montgomery United Methodist where his wife Patty, is Assistant Pastor. Mike also started and currently runs the 3 on 3 Frontier Days Youth Basketball Tournament for the Milford Miami Township Chamber of Commerce. He also is involved with the Milford Task Force and the Old Milford Merchants Association. Professionally Mike is a member of Association of Professional Industrial, American Industrial Hygienist, American Industrial Hygiene Association, Environmental Assessment Association, Defenders of Wildlife, World Wildlife Fund, and Nature Conservancy. Mike can best be described a strong supporter of the community who gives countless hours tirelessly. |
