Rain Gardens A rain garden is a garden that consists of layers of organic material that absorbs water quickly so that the water doesn’t go into a watershed. The organic materials are as follows: First a bottom layer of small stones and gravel, then comes sand, finally a mix of compost and topsoil. Rain gardens not only help the Mill Creek but the Ohio, then the Mississippi, and finally the Atlantic Ocean by taking out toxins, also they reduce flooding by absorbing water. It is an inexpensive and easy solution to pollution. So everyone please make a rain garden and pollution in the Mill Creek and Oceans will be gone!
